If you’ve known me for a while, you know how much I love to travel. In the time between 2016 and 2019 I visited many countries, both in Europe and in the world; I have known many different cultures; I have tasted foreign foods; faced many adventures even going beyond my limits (if you are wondering, I slept two nights in a bus and in a train station, on my trip to Poland!).

These trips have enriched me incredibly, making me a better person. When they say that traveling opens your mind, it’s true! Traveling has helped me so much to embrace the new, to see how beautiful it is that there are different cultures and races and how beautiful it is to get in touch with them.

But then… Here is a worldwide pandemic, which changes our lives, completely upsetting them. So here I find myself at the end of the year with 7 canceled flights, for a total of 4 canceled trips. And together with these, of course, a great sadness.

The projects I had in mind for the now finished 2020 were many. Of course, I was able to rediscover a little of my country, traveling to Puglia last August, and for this I feel lucky. The trip to the Gargano was a relaxing trip, and I had never done such a peaceful trip. But I’d say I’ve relaxed enough now!

Sometimes I miss traveling abroad like air. I miss the idea of not sleeping the night before for fear of missing the plane that will take me to a new reality. I miss all the excitement of the days before and I miss the feeling of very tired feet at the end of the day!

A few memories…

I think 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, some more, some less. It was also for me in certain moments, when I wanted to escape the monotony of the days and the routine that at times was really asphyxiating, especially when hearing all that bad news as soon as I turned on the TV or simply browsing the Internet. Of course, it was still the year in which my content creator business turned into a small paid job, after two years. This probably wouldn’t have happened if I had traveled! I have spent a lot of time on what was initially just a hobby, and am very happy with the results. This was definitely the best part of 2020.

And now? Who knows! However, I hope that in 2021 we will be able to travel again, and leave this dark period behind us. I’m sure the best is yet to come, and I’m sure I’ll be able to visit many other countries around the world in the future, so stay tuned!
