The title already says a lot about what I mean… most couples don’t, but me and my boyfriend have a tendency of treating ourselves to more adventures rather than things by now, and that’s exactly what we did on Valentine’s Day this year: giving us a romantic adventure in Venice! So, while the other couples were sitting at a table enjoying their Valentine’s Day dinner, with presents and roses, here we were looking for the perfect flight that fitted in the budget. Of course you don’t need to be in a relationship if you end up reading this post. Mine is a message that I want everyone to understand and appreciate, in the hope that there are no people in this world who make their happiness depend on things.
And Venice is certainly a suitable place where to invest your money! Venice is definitely my favorite Italian city. I find every corner a perfect postcard, with a magical atmosphere all around… Its canals are something incredible and it is always amazing to cross a bridge and from the highest point of it to observe the houses that seem to float on the water.
To not mention the food: risi e bisi, venetian fry-up and a good tiramisu to finish our dinner a few steps away from Piazza San Marco, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe.
We had a lot of fun and we will carry the memory of the adventure of this Valentine’s gift forever, because of the enchanting places we visited and because of the lesson we learnt. So always remember that money invested in trips are never going to waste!
